If you believe the statistics in The International Bulletin of Missionary Research, there are estimated to have been an average of 164,000 Christian martyrs annually in the mid-1990s

So, just by that...not including the Crusades, witch trials(some were Christians), inquisition...etc...who knows how many..

To Siar...you must realize that before the 20th century, the world wide population was very VERY low compared to the 6 billion that is at now...500 million may seem like a reasonable number today, but back then that would seem impossible...

Those who have been killed BECAUSE they are active Christians every year currently is in the 10s of thousands.
Christianity is the most persecuted of the major religions(especially Catholic).

Also there is a list( called the Martyrology) of thousands of people who were killed because they were Christians beginning with the earliest persecutions (like the Imperial Roman Persecutions) up to the present day(like those murdered in Islamic countries)

The numbers of people directly killed in the past by people who professed to be Christians in the past is in the thousands(not millions- unlike those killed by atheistic Communism because they resisted that " religion").

Murder in the name of any ideology is double murder: of the people victimized and of the cause for which they are murdered.

Only people who have died for it, not died forcing it. THe name of Christianity does not promote death. it is contradictory. It means to walk like Christ, any one how has killed under its name has not done the work of Christ and has simply lied in their heart that they are Christian. So in the true name Of Christianity no one spreads death. But many have died by not denouncing it. Thousands a day all over the world die for Christ, Killing for him is not Christian.

Nobody died, the soul is eternal, and cannot die. All flesh degrades eventually anyway, regardless of Christianity
