I think people will surely ignore you if even today you just sit there without doing much. That means you won't have to pretend much. If you are lazy... you are closer to a statue already.
If you actually become a statue then you'll reduce carbon dioxide (which you wont be able to exhale, being a statue) and thus will reduce global warming.
