I am an American, Turkish, and a Muslim. I have a lot of friends from different faiths, including Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, and Islam. I get along with my friends very much, and religion does not get in our way. But I have a question about Christianity, and didn't find it appropriate to ask one my friends. So in the Christian point of view, It says Jesus was crucified and he will take all the sins from Christians. So does this mean Christians can do anything they want and Jesus will save them at the end, or am I missing a crucial part in this. This is just a question, and I don't have anything against anyone, and hopefully you wont have anything against me, because I believe in peace among religions. Thanks in advance.

No, even though Jesus died for our sins, we still have to ask God for forgiveness.

In older Judaism, the high priest would sacrifice an animal for the sins of the people. This is the same thing as that - Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for all the sins of the world, no more sacrifices of blood need to be made for our forgiveness.
Forgiveness is always there (whether we want it or not), but people need recognize it and accept it.
We believe that God loves us unconditionally like a father - no matter what you do your father will always forgive you and love you. If you disappear from his life for 20 years and come back he will still forgive and love you. If you don't recognise him and love him and you don't return to him - he'll write you out of his will (so to speak) and he'll declare that he doesn't know you on judgement day.
Clear as mud? You shouldn't feel you can't ask your friends these questions - if anything they'll appreciate your interest.

All these things sound pathetic. You are responsible for all the things you've done in your life. Nobody is gonna save you, forgive you, or send you to heaven. You should appreciate everything God created for us and treat them with respect, help the needy, and be a good person as much as you can. Leave the rest to the unknown.I'm Turkish and I don't believe in any religion, they all sound pathetic and unrealistic. I do believe in God and do as much as I can to be a good person. I can say a whole lot more but I guess my point is taken...

I believe that we are saved by the grace of God. Christians will continue to sin every day because we are only human, not perfect like Jesus is. Having said that, God wants us to ask forgiveness and try to do the right thing, but even when we sin, we are still forgiven...we should try to live an exemplary life as God wants us to. I believe that once saved, you are always saved, because Jesus only died for our sins once! He is not going to die again every time we sin. I hope this helps!
God bless and keep you, my friend!

Merhaba! It's more complicated than you may think.... Jesus said that if we love him we will obey his commands. Human nature being what it is, people will make mistakes, but if they deliberately continue sinning just because Jesus already paid the price for their sins, you have to wonder if they truly love Jesus. I think a lot of people who deliberately sin thinking that they can do whatever they want since Jesus paid the price for their sins will get a surprise on judgment day, but really only God knows where the line will be drawn.

Once you give your life to the Lord, you are sealed and led by the Holy Spirit. If you are a true believer you will begin to stop those things that displease God.Paul said "Since grace covers sin, should we sin so thay grace will abound?God forbid!"
I John says ,if we are true believers we won't sin habitually. We all sin ,all our lives ,here and there, but not the same thing over and over again.God knows when you don't mean it.
"I'll get "Loaded " and just repent tommorrow"God will not honor that, and you'll have to live with it.

Paul posed this same question in one of the letters he wrote that has been incorporated into the bible. He said, since God forgives, should we continue in sin that His grace may abound? Heaven forbid.
Being a Christian, and knowing we are forgiven of our sins, is not license to sin. A true born again believer in Jesus Christ loves Him, and desires to do as He asks. Jesus said, "why do you call me Lord, and not do what I say"? So we desire to follow Him, not follow sin.

Very good question. In fact many Christians who rely on denominational indoctrination rather than upon Bible study have a misconception on this point.
No, forgiveness of sins does not give one a license to sin because inherent in the repentance which qualifies one to be a Christian is the intention to not only to turn from sin but to dedicate oneself to the amendments of one's life.
There are false Christians who change the grace of God into a license to sin as it is written in Jude 1:4 "For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord."
In fact "If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."" 2Peter 2:20-22
But the apostle John speaks of ways to identify those who have been genuinely born of God - though being a relative measure and speaking of the person's overall lifestyle as a Christian he says, "This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother." 1John 3:10

Jeffery Dahmer, who apparently repented before that unfortunate encounter with a mop handle, would be in the “nosebleed section” in heaven. Why would that be if Christ suffered the shame for everyone who is saved? I think the answer here relates to the concept of rewards in heaven as opposed to salvation. The rewards will be rewards of honor; obviously someone like Dahmer isn't going to have a lot of rewards, and nor would an Adolf Hitler who repented on his deathbed. So yes, to say they will be in the "nosebleed section" of heaven would be accurate.

A lot of christians seem to believe this. Yet at the same time many of those same christians will say that if you are NOT one of them, and you subscribe to some other belief system, no matter h ow absolutely good and decent and virtuous you have been all your life, you're gonna go to hell anyway just because you have been unable to accept their particular belief. All of which sounds pretty nonsensical to me, but then, to each his own, say I.

Yes Jesus died for our sins, that is not a ticket for us to keep on sinning and sinning. But when we do we can pray and ask for forgivness of that particular sin/s.
Noticed i said "when" and not "if" because we can all fall from grace and become a disgrace: thats why the Bible say all have sin and come short, you may ask fall short of what?GRACE!
