I know someone who was having the same symptoms, and his problem was that his heart was getting out of rhythm. It was atrial fibrillation. Maybe your husband should get a check up.

I think you mean cold "sweats", sweets are confections you eat.
sweats and aches only at night? possibly nightmares, possibly something more serious, he should see a doctor if it continues.
