my lower back right above my butt. I have attempted many times to streach it out but it just made it worse. What are some suggestions to make this pain go away? Massages and Doctor visits are not available to me.

Be careful, is the pain right in the middle or is it to any of the sides? If its to any of the sides, it might be your kidneys. Your not drinking enough water. If its straight in the middle, it might be your back or your colon. Yes, your colon. If its your back, try laying down on the floor on your back in a sit up position.

I have chronic lower back problem. Some things that make me feel better are
lieing down on the floor - always feels nice on my back
lieing on my right side with a pillow between my knees
heat on the area (some prefer ice just don't leave it on too long)
warm bath / shower
advil (try to use it as a last resort)

If you sit all day make sure your chair is the right height, if it's too high put something under your feet to lift them, if it's too low put something under your butt to lift you.
If you stand alot put something (about 4 inches high) just infront of you that you can put a foot up on. it's alot better then just standing.
If it hurts to the point where your staying home from work or school don't stay in bed, try to keep up and walk as much as you can so you don't get too stiff.

Take a hot bath with 2c. of dissolved Epsom salts. Soak for 30 minutes. The Epsom salts will help eliminate the lactic acid that forms on the muscles from over exertion.

Massage an analgesic cream into the sore muscles. I find the best cream for pain is “Blue Emu,” You can read more about this cream at http://www.blue-emu.com/

Dehydration can cause severe pain in the muscles. I recommend you drink purified water mixed with mineral water 50/50. This will replace the minerals that are exiting your body continuously.

I suggest that adults and children drink 40 ounces of water per 100 pounds of body weight every day. Realize that exercise, ambient temperature, and state of health affect the water needs of your body. One tip for athletes: it is healthier to drink a sports drink or water than fruit juice, soda, coffee, or milk during competition or active training periods.

500mg of calcium and magnesium, taken twice daily, can help with diminishing the pain.

Advil soft gel capsules are very good for pain. Take them four times daily.
