I am the older brother in my family and me and my brother are the same height but he will probably still get taller and pass me im turning 16 next month in august and hes only 14 and 6 months old we are both 170 cm ( about 5 ft 7 inches each this is our fathers height) and our mother is like 5 ft 4 inches. Does anyone know if race effects the growth rate i am growing at because i am growing really slowly im .. hopefully i still grow a little bit more.. thanks for the answers.

My older brother is 24, he's 5'10. I'm 20(female,) and I'm 5'3. My younger sister is 18, she's 5'11. So, yes, I think you may be on to something...

The younger boys probably got better nutrition than their older brothers. Maybe it's because their parents were more advanced in parenting skills than they were before. Also, genetics plays a role. Sometimes the younger brother stays shorter than their older brother.

I have two younger brothers, and as their sister, they've always been taller than I!
I have two sons, and for a few years in their teens, the younger was taller, but now they are about the same.

it's all a dice roll. your height is genetically predetermined in the scramble of division that the original egg and sperm created. And only in identical twins will you see offspring with the same height and growth rates.

Yes, I heard this is because after the mother has her first child her uterous has expanded allowing the next child to grow more- but I don't know if I buy that. But yes, it is pretty typical
