Hello,
it is perfectly OK to give you kittens oatmeal.
** but remember that you should not feed them every day only as a treat **
the reason for that is there belly will get very big as it is very nutritious.
something like 2 times a week would be great for them.
ps. hope i have been a help.

My kittens wanted to "sample" all my food - mashed potatoes, applesauce, pieces of beef, chicken and pork. They did not get any chocolate pudding! I found they lost interest in my food when they were grown and like their cat food better.
I think if you check the ingredients on your apple-cinamon oatmeal you will find there is quite a bit of sugar too and that's not good for the kitten. One of my cats likes to lick the bottom from my bowl of oatmeal (he's 16) and I think he likes the milk. I eat "regular" oatmeal with a banana, fresh peach or some mango slices on it for sweetener.
Try going for the plain stuff and using a piece of fresh fruit instead of a lot of sugar and other flavor additives.

It won't hurt them once but it has a lot of sugar in it which isn't good for them as a regular thing. Pets should really have pet food that's designed for them, and kittens need special food which has everything they need to grow. Besides, eating table scraps or eating up on the table from your dishes is not a good habit to let them get into, it will make them fat and think about where those feet have been!

It won't hurt them, although I have to question why you let your kitten jump up on the table and eat from your plate. In the long term, human food isn't good for animals because they have different nutritional needs.
My advise would be to gently pick up and place the kitten on the floor, telling her "no" in a stern voice, the next time she climbs onto the table. If you don't, you'll wish you had. Imagine, hosting a dinner party, or having a few friends over, and your full grown cat jumps up onto the table and helps herself.
YUCK.

A little bit of oatmeal won't hurt the kitten, but you shouldn't feed it oatmeal on a regular basis. Cat's digestive tracts are made to digest lots of protein, and they do not digest grains or plant products very well! (Which is why you should always use cat food with a protein listed as the first ingredient rather than a grain!) Also, sugar isn't good for cats, just like it's not good for people! But a little bit probably won't hurt.
Also, if the oatmeal had milk in it, milk is perfectly fine for kittens but many adult cats are lactose intolerant!

I don't know about the apple/cinnamon oatmeal, but some kittens love regular oatmeal. I once had a kitten who "stole" mine all the time, so I fixed him some of his own.....couple of spoonsful on a plate. He loved it, and would wait every morning for HIS plate of oatmeal! If you're concerned about the "flavored" kind, call your vet to make sure there's no reason to worry....Good luck.
