I know the question sounds stupid but it is really legitimate.....I just bought a 2000 Ford Taurus and I assumed it only had a cassette deck when I purchased it. Some how I skipped over seeing the "CD" button next to the tape button. Although there is no CD deck in the actual radio area I hear that it should be equipped with a disk changer. Where in my car can I find this? Or is the button there just in case I would like to install a disk changer? I have no idea about cars so anything would help

According to this review of the 2000 Ford Taurus, http://www.canadiandriver.com/testdrives/00taurus.htm:

"If you order an optional CD changer, it goes in the storage bin between the seats, however it doesn't leave much storage space."

In your glove box should be a little book labeled something like "Owner's manual". It should tell you everything you need to know about operating the various systems that your vehicle is equipped with.
