Is there a way to upload photos without using iPhoto? I like it, I don't trust it, and I want to be in charge of my own organization. I'm looking into alternative programs, but in the meantime I really want to keep the photos separate from iPhoto. Is that possible?

A program I really liked after searching and searching for a Mac photo viewing app, is HyperImage. The registered version will download images from websites, but that's not what I have it for, so I didn't register.

It serves as a very fast image viewer of my photos. It doesn't offer placing photos in a library, but I don't use that anyway. I just wanted something that would let me quickly flip through all the photos I have in my comptuter, and HyperImage does that B-E-A-Utifully!

start > All programs > Accessories > Paint Open them in windows paint program. Click on image >stretch skew ( give a number smaller, say 10, 10 in the box front of stretch, Horizontal and vertical) press OK. Then save it as jpeg file with another name so that your original file remains intact. Check the final size of the image after saving. Repeat the procedure with the original image if you want it still smaller or bigger, by reducing or by increasing the stretch value.
