(1)Stop worrying about what others thing of you
(2) Don’t pay any attention to the 'bad influences that surround you'
(3) Remember, that IF the motivation is based (solely) on the fact that your boyfriend is religious; YOU will be miserable
(4) Be ‘religious’ because YOU WANT that to be apart of YOUR LIFE

I do not consider myself to be ‘religious’, but rather I have a “Relationship with G-d and Jesus the Christ”. I pray to G-d, in a causal / conversational manner, sing praises to Him (whenever and wherever) I feel like it, and worship Him everywhere / at anytime. He is not only available to us on Sundays during such and such a time. We can and are allowed to confess our sins directly TO Him, and He will forgive us those wrongs. Religious people follow the demands that man-made laws, rules, and regulations; have placed on him or her. Those who have a Relationship with G-d and Jesus the Christ, allow His Divine Laws (which come straight from the Bible) to govern his or her life. The Triune G-d has three natures (1) He is The Speaker (Father) (2) The Word (Son) (3) The Breath (Holy Spirit)

Renew your mind with the truth by reading your Bible everyday (Romans 12:1-2). Then you will know exactly what to do.

If you really want to be religious read James 1:26-27 and Romans 6:11-22.

Enjoy!

To be honest with you , EVE If I were you, I wouldn't want to be any more religous then what you are , some of us were more or less forced into being spiritual, we didn't realy have a choice , not that there is anything wrong with being a little bit reverent, but were going to have all kinds of time for that after we die , Jesus kind of layed it all out for us when he said , just go and sin no more, you and me both know thats impossable, but we can try and thats all God wants, be as good as you can be and don't beat yourself up, besides satans got enough people who are unknowingly working for him , he'll have somebody come beat you up, you don't have to bother with it, have a good day and try to have a good tomarrow,God will be there don't worry,,,

You can't build a lasting, strong faith in God based on a desire that doesn't have legs. Faith has to have legs in order to be a saving faith. Meaning, it is one thing to believe but another thing entirely to "stick in there" regardless of how many friends, boyfriends you may lose. My entire life I have been the person people run to when they need someone to pray to God and listen to their problems and I always did, but other than that there was no friendship between us because we were from 2 different worlds and going to 2 different eternal homes. My point is don't worry about what others think...worry about what God thinks. When you line your heart up with the Lord's heart ( His Word ) your faith will grow strong legs and no devil in hell or on earth will be able to knock you down!

You have humility, which is the beginning of faith, and the end. If you are worried what others think of you, that is fine...Just be careful not to worry too much because of human respect. Human respect in the sense that you will do things because you want people to think of you in a certain light.. Ask for the graces to know where He wants you...Never stop asking..Never stop listening..Do your research, and find the closest thing on earth to God..."Remember...He who persecuted me, will also persecute you..He hated me first..."

You don't need to be more religious, just have a relationship with God. Fall in love with Him and He will guide you. - I'm sure if you talk to the pastor at your church he would have some advice too. Good luck and don't focus on how you might come off to people but focus on God b/c He is the one that matters-okay:)

Don't focus on being more "religious", but rather on being more like Christ. Read the Bible and meditate on His word. Go to church with your boyfriend and get away from those "bad influences" surrounding you! And defnitely PRAY, PRAY, PRAY and put Jesus in your pilot's seat, rather than the co-pilot's!

First, you love. I know there are probably dozens of books you have been given, but may I recommend Dangerous Wonder by Mike Yaconelli and Messy Spirituality by Mike Yaconelli? I'll post a preview of Messy Spirituality under "Sources."

If the only reason you want to be more religious is because your boyfriend is, it's not a very good reason. Maybe being very religious isn't for you, and there's nothing wrong with that. Just be yourself.

You should pray and read the Bible! I think Christianity is s great religion to follow. But i don't think you should become more religious just because your BF is. You need to for you to become closer with God and Jesus, because they love you very much and wont force you to love them. You have to do it on your own time and for you.
