for a small, catholic high school to do? we don't have that many boys who can sing- maybe 6, i know, but maybe only 1 who can really sing- and a couple of really good girls- maybe 8- and then a whole chorus. we're not really a dancing school, but we have a couple of good dancers. you guys have any ideas about what musical we could do? (and for the record, i have a very low alto voice, and i'd like a lead part! haha! i had a lead last year, and i'm hoping to get one this year!)...so yes, any ideas, let me know! (p.s.- we just did godspell.)

Ok, well first of all, what ISN'T a good musical? For your requirements, however, it is a completely different story. I don't know what that one guy was thinking with RENT. Although a GREAT musical, it is not appropriate for any high school to be performing. Oklahoma! is ok, but I have done it and it isn't that great after a while. I would suggest "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?" I had never heard of it when I saw it performed at a college and I absolutely loved it. There is one, maybe two main singing guys and a couple girls. It is absolutely hilarious, great music, and it is set in a Catholic school. IDK, I would suggest at least checking it out. I think you would like it.

I'd say something small like 'You're A Good Man Charlie Brown' or 'Snoopy: The Musical' both have small casts AND you could do a perfprmace for elementry school kids.
