Well, I'm a 41 year old guy so this question definitely interests me. I've used Yahoo and Match.com. Had pretty good results from Match... met a lot of women, had some fun dates, but no relationships out of it. I hear eharmony.com is great, but haven't personally tried it.

Try taking a, not as pretty as you, friend along to a upscale
trendy happy hour near an office park.

Who knows? It depends on the people in your area. Stay away from the "adult" ones that are obviously geared toward people looking for just a hook-up, and sign up for a clean sounding one that you have actually heard about (if you have heard about it, then other people probably have heard about it too because it is popular).
If you are a religious person, there are websites specifically tailored for people of a certain religion.

while I was looking to date, I used two different sites (yahoo personals and match.com) and neither one of them produced very good things for me. I have always been much better meeting people in everyday life and just being me, but maybe you will have better luck than me. Match.com is much better than yahoo personals in my opinion and I hated eharmony.
