I just got two shots in this one arm, and it won't stop killing me. It's been hurting for 6 hours. I have taken Tylenol and everything. What do I do now?

The doctor said that it would hurt for a while, but not 6 hours! I can't move the arm at all. And my mother keeps telling me that she will call. But shes not. Is there a doctor out there on Y!A that can help me?

Should I be looking for any other side-efects like discoloration?

I guess I should tell you what the shots were. One was a Menigitis and the other was a Cervical Cancer one.

It is completely normal for the guardasil shot to hurt. That is the #1 side effect of the shot. The nurse should have made that clear to you. I hate to tell you this, but it is going to hurt for a few days (2-3). Also, the vaccine consists of 3 shots, the initial shot, one 2 months later and one 6 months later....and each time they hurt like that. I'm sorry, but keep taking tylenol and try some ice too. You should feel better in 2-3 days.

Between my daughters to twins, both eight months old now, we took them in today, each one got eight shots, all in each leg. Neither on did anything, one started to make a face then stopped. I got a my second and third shot for meningitis in the underarm, sure it hurts, but?
Call your doctor and see what happen. Sometimes the one giving the shot will go through the vein, that hurts.

The viscosity (thickness) might be the issue, try doing some push-ups, work the muscles a bit, help break it up. Have a nice tea., watch an Adam Sandler movie.
That will be $300.

Try holding a bag of frozen peas on it. My 5 yr old got 4 shots today....two in each arm......and it helped him a lot.

If you are in serious pain, you could be having an adverse reaction. If over the counter analgesics haven't worked, you need to call you doctor.
