I've been married to my wife for 15 years (together for 20). We have 3 kids. I always stash a few bucks away here and there to buy my wife flowers (for no particular reason). I do it often. With 3 kids (all under 13), we don't get out much so I usually make dinner or rent movies for our "dates", but I do the flowers/gifts things often.

Not a man, but I have been married a while, and I will tell you that we still treat each other to dinners, movies and other events with our own money. Not everything is on the joint accounts, the special stuff is done with our own money.
Sometimes you eat out for an event--birthday, anniversary, etc. Sometimes it's just because no one has time to cook--that's a joint account event. Credit card is a "no-no";
switch to a debit card.

I am not at the 3 year mark but we live together and we try to make everything equal. One pays then the next time the other pays. I guess that would along the lines of your "family credit card".
P.S. She makes more than I do but I still pay half of everything because I use half of everything, bills etc.

I was in a relationship that lasted 2 years and 7 months and yes i still treated her to diner, gifts and diner. If you really love a person the love stays the same and the desire to please her. But in my case it a a compatibility issue. Unfortunately love is not enough to make a relationship work.

My husband still treats me to dinners, and flowers. We have been married 5 years, and we really only have one family fund.....we pay bills out of that, then we keep 1/2 of each of our checks to do with what we want...I ususally do things for the kids.....and my husband takes care of me.......thats the way we do it here....but then again, we are not rich...and we dont have alot of credit cards.

i've been with my gf for 3 1/2 years... I love to take her out EVERY TIME I CAN. She says i don't need to.. i feel i do. To show that i still see the light in her eyes and that i still have my breath takin away by her every time i see her. So i do every chance i get.. it shows i still love her the same if not more than the day before.....

Yes I do, and I try to surprise her with flowers whenever I think she least expects it. Yes that means for no reason what so ever. Just because your married, doesn't mean you can't be romantic.

i would still treat her to a date night in my last relationship of 4 years we always planned a special night other than the weekend to go out like we were first dating...i picked one week she the next....we also had our weekends but you never want to feel your relationship or your partner is taken for granted so do things to keep it spicy.
