Does anyone else's birds do this? Or is mine a weirdo lol

Well, we all want a little privacy while we sing in the shower. =)

Really though, your bird may be thinking the vaccuum vibration sounds like water being turned on. Birds like to bathe in water that is being showered upon them - so if they hear something they think is falling water they may lather up and go for a soak.

Very common behaviour with parrots, mine do it as well. I've even read of vacuuming being recommended to actively encourage birds to bathe. I've never heard of a plausible explanation as to why it works. I've heard of the "rain sound" theory but my birds don't have the same reaction to the sound of real rain so I'm doubtful.
