My dad has terminal cancer that is unoperatable. The doctor says he only has about 9 months to live.. He is a pastor of a Calvary Chapel and he is only 50 years old and he is the nicest man you'd ever meet.

I have been praying for God to heal him but so far nothing has happened.. I am just wondering if you know of anyone that has been healed in a situation like this.. Also if you think about it, will you please pray for him?

Yes, I know a handful of people who God has healed of cancer, including myself. There were a couple of them that had been told they would die because there was nothing the doctors could do. Blessedly, The Lord is our Great Physician.
I will pray for your dad.

Dodie Osteen, mother of nationally known author and pastor Joel Osteen was healed of terminal cancer. Read about it in her book "Healed of Cancer" which includes the testimonials of doctors who gave her no chance of survival.

May I suggest the Book also "Captain Levrier believes in Miracles" by Kathryn Kuhlman.
He was healed from cancer at a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting. He personally prayed for a friend of mine who was instantly delivered from a 4 pack a day cigarette habit with no withdrawal. God still does miracles.

YES. My mentor - she's a pastor who had cancer a few years back. She got really sick, and the doctors told her that they could reduce the tumor to 1mm, but didn't know if they could get rid of it. She did chemo and radiation, and all of that. Of course everyone was praying for her, but who really spoke into her life was her kids. Her teenage daughter told her, "mom if you can have 1mm..... I think you can have ZERO." She believed that was from God and prayed.... then her son one day was praying for her while she was sick and just said "I'm feeling God saying it's done. This ordeal is over, and you're healed." She got better, and everything went into remission shortly after. Today she's healthy as ever!

A note though: healing is not about how "hard" the cancer is for God to heal, nor about who prays, or things like that. Healing is closely tied to sanctification, and has to do with your dad's relationship with God. He needs to go to God directly and ask if it's the right time for him to go home. It may be his time, even if that sounds hard. I would go to your dad and ask him if he's sat down and "discussed" this with God, if he's wrestled with God about his life. God could have let him get cancer just to get his attention or build up his faith. If that's the case it's IMPERATIVE that he goes to God to ask what God wants of him. He has to ask if it's his time to go. If he doesn't believe it is, he needs to pray and fast and get on his FACE in prayer. He needs to praise God ahead of time! And believe God for his healing; and declare God more powerful than the cancer.

I know people who are in long term remission, but I am not absolutely certain that G-d should be credited with the recovery.

My opinion is that prayer is for those that pray. Your dad must pray for himself -- that will be far more effective than having others pray for him. Good luck and G-d bless.

I'm so very sorry. I've lost many family members to cancer.

But yes, I believe in the power of prayer. It's done alot for my family. You and your Dad will certainly be in my prayers.

My best wishes to you and your family. I know that this must be extremely difficult for you. However, the best you can hope for is that the dotor is wrong, so you should try to see if your father can get a second opinion.

Brightest blessings.

Tell him to look into an alkalarian diet, which is basically vegan, and stick to it. He will extend his life exponentially, if not cause his cancer to go into remission.

But if he does, please remember that it was medical science that did this for him, and not a prayer.

Good luck.
