Atheists: What will most people be doing at the return of Christ?

The return of Christ as written in the Holy Bible:

Matthew 25:31
"When the son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory":

Matthew 24:6-7

Jesus said...."And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. VS 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. VS 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Matthew 24:30

"And then shall appear the son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory". VS 31..And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other".

I love Mathew 24 6-7 especially.

There will be wars, huh that's a big change from anytime in human history? There will be famines, you mean just like always? There will be pestilence and earthquakes, like as in exactly like the past?

This has to be the weakest prediction of all time. He should have added:

And it will come to pass that there will be mornings, afternoons and night time. There will be neighbors squabbling, and people will hunger after long periods of not eating. In those times, babies will cause their parents to loose sleep at nights, and teenagers will engage in touching each others naughty bits. So shall things be when the end is near, beware of these predictions, for when they happen, the Lord will surely return.

Seems like cruel joke to play on believers, telling them that common occurrences will occur just before their God is to return, so they spend the next 2000 years on edge.

I'll try to ask him what he thinks about these people who profess to follow him and then do nothing of the kind. I would ask him if he wanted to start a new religion or just improve the one he already had. I would ask him if he wants cold, unkind and unfeeling people professing to be loving and caring people only they are only loving and caring to those who are exactly like them and take delight in telling others that they will burn in torment forever. I would ask him to make a choice between those two kinds of Christians and let us know what he decided.

You know the answer to your question if you truly believe in what you quote. Bothering the athiest like that is not a very "Christian" thing to do. Those kinds of actions are what make our faith so laughable to others. You want them to believe in Christ then do what Christ does to nonbelievers and just treat them like people. That is ALL.
