I checked in Kelly blue book and it's worth about 18,000. I have a mercedez 2003 C230 Kompressor with only 56,000 miles on it. No damages, what's better? trade it in? or Sell it to a private party and start over? Suggestions? Experience?

Where do you start.. how about a for sale sign. If you can or want to sell it yourself, do so. You can sell it for less than what a person could buy it for on the lot, but more than you would get by trading it in.

You will most likely get jerked around by using your vehicle as a trade in when you buy a new one. Best bet is to run an add and try to sell it for a few weeks if that dosent work take it to Car Max and sell it to them then use that money as a down pmt.

Try to sell it privately, you can always trade it in at a later date. You should try http://www.selllikeadealer.com/ it pretty much walks you step by step on what to do when you sell the car yourself, the interface is pretty simple but has lots of useful info. Helped to sell my car in 3 days!!!

Find out how much you still owe on the car if it's financed. That will determine what you can or should do.

For that kind of car, you should list it on E-bay.
