Depends on the type of bills. If they where credit cards they are reported once a month, and you should see something then. If they where old bills in collection, they will just be marked paid, or satisfied and still be on you credit so there will be no change.

It depends entirely on your present score (and how long ago some of the "bad" stuff was), and your current level of credit. However, every time you pay a bill on time (or certainly pay a bill off) you are correcting and raising your score...one baby step at a time, but it is constantly updated. Good luck!

We were always told one year from the date of payoff..
