Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians who understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus is a real government which will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire
While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]
Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

Gianny, there may be some ameliorations with Jehovah Witnesses, like the blood transfusion that i don't understand. the common and simplier distinctive perception of Jehovah Witnesse concerns that they call God basically Jehovah. i'm a Methodist and in translating the Hebrew to English we and maximum different Christian religions have distinctive names for God. El Shaddai is almighty, Abba is the private fatherly God, Shalom is the God of Peace, Elohim is a greater distant God that we in simple terms could obey, and Yahweh grow to be the initiating of God as he grow to be, even above a recognition. by using fact those seem interior the Hebrew, and the previous testomony is a e book specially approximately them and there journies, then i might use the a number of names. All church homes variety. And as quickly as I lived in Alabama met some Jehovah Witnesses who have been very variety and tolerant human beings, and attended a number of their amenities, inspite of the certainty that I belonged to a Methodist church. the place I now stay visited certainly one of their church homes the place this grow to be no longer quite the case.

They are a typical white american new christian movement that believe they are the only true religion left on the planet and all the others are in serious error or decline in some way!
They are harmless enough but their beliefs are very blinkered.
I have attended their Kingdom Hall -
You will learn a lot, most of what they say is very good but its the hidden 1% you have to filter out and ignore.
why not see them for yourself, they are very low key in worship and there is an air of a university about it!

No individual is born a Witness of Jehovah. Every single Witness makes a personal decision. After making an honest search of God's Word, the searcher recognizes truth, and on this basis he dedicates himself to the true God, whose name is Jehovah.
Whatever your religion, you need to do the same.
Nobody can make a decision for you in this regard. Remember: "Each one of us will render an account for himself to God."--Romans 14:12
As the name shows, they are ppl who speak freely to others about God; (personal name) Jehovah.
In a general sense, throughout history anyone who witnesses to God's glory could be called a witness of Jehovah.--Ex.3:13,15; Isaiah 43:10.
Thus, the Bible, when listing a long line of faithful men of old starting w/ Abel, calls them "so great a cloud of witnesses." Heb.11:4; 12:1.
Outstanding individuals, such as Noah, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, are listed as God's witnesses--witnesses of Jehovah.
Jesus Christ is called "the faithful witness."--Rev.3:14

For future's sake it's "Jehovah's Witness"...
We're just regular ppl like everybody else that try our best to live by Bible standards... we abide by the law and go out of our way to be nice to others. It just so happens that one of the biblical commands that we follow is to preach the good news of the Kingdom, which a bunch of ppl seem 2 take issue with (although technically if they call themselves Christians they should be doing the same thing). Everything that we believe in is based strictly on the Bible.
Our doors remain open, so feel free to visit a Kingdom Hall (you will be welcomed warmly) and see firsthand how we 'get down'.

I encourage you to seek out JWs for your questions face to face vs here on the internet..... People simply do not know what they are talking about and give you information that is NOT true about what JWs believe. We offer FREE home Bible Studies. We love answering questions and helping people learn what the Bible has to say. We love offering hope to people all over the world, including you of the hope soon to come, through God's Kingdom. You can go to www.watchtower.org and there is a lot of reading material there if you would like to read some there about Gods Promises and the Bible. When you go there you will be able to see you can take YOUR OWN personal copy of the Bible and read the scriptures and see that what we have to say is from the Bible.
Be careful on here with the information you get.The reason is because there are people here who post that used to be Jehovah's Witnesses before that have done some bad things in life or had a bad life and want to take it out on Jehovah God. That is in fact what they are doing because they at one time came to an accurate knowledge of God and decided that they didn't want to live a life according to what he wanted and have turned their back on God. They say horrible things, and most of them are so consumed with hate that they will lie. It is sad that they have turned out this way. (I tell you to be careful, but I am careful also. I am a long standing JW, and everytime I see someone that I think is like this above discribed person I just block them because they never have anything good to say and it helps me to skip over their post easier since I see this red mark by their name) But knowing this I encourage you to go straight to Jehovah's Witness to get your facts before you listen to these people. (again, as I mentioned before, as you can see with YOUR OWN Bible, all of our material is based on Bible principals)
Here is a link that will help you out on our beliefs.

We strive to live our lives solely on the bible.
We accept Jesus as god's son and our savior.
We believe Jehovah is god's name (psalm 83:18) you can find it in the forward of the bible too.
We follow the commission in Matt. 24:14 to preach the good news. that's why we are at people's doors.
We believe in living forever in a paradise on earth. Rev. 21:3,4

You're really better off going to their website, but here's some basic things I've been able to pick up in a few days here:
They're (conservative) Christians, who believe that God and Jesus are separate entities
They don't celebrate holidays
They come to people's houses to discuss their religion (yes, that's legal per the Supreme Court)
They believe only a few people (~100k?) are going to heaven
They kick out those who disagree with them (not sure that's a bad thing, people should have freedom of association w/in their own religion)
Some people (especially evangelical Christians) really hate them, and will come up with any reason possible to slander them

Find a real, live one and ask him. Or, as others have suggested, visit
http://www.watchtower.org
And when you find a real, live one in person, ask him for a copy of the book, "What Does the Bible Really Teach?"
Because that's who Jehovah's Witnesses are, people who follow what the Bible teaches.
Best wishes.

To find a true answer on who someone is, you should ask them directly and not listen to what others think they are.
The only way to know for sure is to visit a local Kingdom Hall or ask them when you see them in your neighborhood. Then keep an open mind and decide for yourself. :)
