I agree, it is a double standard. To pro-abortionists, that baby is only a baby if it's convenient to the mother for it to be a baby. If it's an inconvenience, then sadly it's just a "fetus" or a "mass of cells" that can be disposed of.

Great question.
Our laws legalizing abortion stink. Rights for irresponsible women, but no rights for the unborn child or father ...
1. If a woman keeps a baby against the father's will, he is still a parent must support the child financially. If his rejection of the child continues, he should have no say in how he/she is raised.
2. If a woman wants an abortion and the father doesn't, he should be able to prevent the death of his child and help decide who will raise him/her--even get sole custody if the mother's rejection of the baby continues.
Pro-aborts scream, "It's my body!" Take a good look at the little arms and legs and skull that go in the trash after an abortion. Are those part of the mother's body, or does she get to keep hers intact?

Because they've been indoctrinated into believing 2 errors:
1) That the baby they are carrying is not human and, because of that, they also are led to believe that
2) It is their body to do with as they wish. This, of course, completely ignores 3 pertinent points:
A) The baby IS human,
B) The body we're talking about is the baby's and,
C) Nobody has the right to take an innocent life.
Having said that let me say this: This schizophrenic thinking causes a complete reversal once the baby is born. Then the father is responsible for his child, as well he should be.

Unfortunately I found myself in a situation with my ex-finance' years ago after we broke up.
We had been separated for some time but we decided to meet one weekend at the beach. It was one of the most irresponsible things I've ever done.
I'm a Christian, but then I was not, but still I remember her calling me from out of state telling me what she was about to do and how no matter how I begged her, she would not budge on her decision.
I had no legal right to stop her. I was interested in taking the child and raising it by myself if I had to.
Don't get me wrong I can see her side of the story too. She would have had to carry the kid for 9 months but then again, what about the kids right?
That's an even better question.

I agree. That baby is his too and he has every right to that child. If they dont want it, then give it to him to raise. what selfish ppl have become today. OH my God.
And yes, every man should pay child support for the same reasons, it is his baby.
If the father doesnt want the baby, then give tht baby to someone who wants it and will love it. There are huge lists to adopt a baby today. That baby is human, with human dna before it is born. You take human life when you kill an unborn baby and that will lead to hell unless you have repented of it.
Noone has a right to end life but God, thats why He says do not kill, the actual word, was do not murder. we knows it is livfe as it is growing. if a baby died in the womb, it doesnt keep growing. what does it grow into a baby human, cuz it has human dna. YOu can make all the rules to keep abortion legal, but God will curse any nation that oks this as it is blood sins. Sexual sins will curse a city, as in sodom and gommoreh, but blood sins curse a nation. GOd is removing more and more of His protection , except those that are truly His. wake up america.

The father may not want the child but he did chose to have sex which created the child. He may not have the choice about whether or not the child is born but he does have the choice regarding whether or not to be in the child's life. He also had the option regarding whether or not to have sex and (I know this sounds cliche) has to deal with the responsibility.

I think if a woman chooses to keep the baby and the father doesn't want anything to do with it AND LETS HER KNOW DURING THE FIRST TRIMESTER, then she shouldn't have grounds for filing for child support. She has the option of abortion at that point.
I think the sperm donor should also have to sign a legal document stating that he waives all parental rights and responsibilities, so if the mother wants to put the child up for adoption, she can do so without having to hunt him down.
If the woman chooses to keep the baby at that point, it's her own choice and her own responsibility.

well let's see here. the man has the option of terminating his rights once the resulting child is born. therefore, he has a say in the matter if the woman chooses to keep the pregnancy.

That's just one of the many contradictions of our culture of death. "It's your child if I decide it lives, but I reserve the right to murder it, and you can't stop me." You can't have it both ways. It all boils down to complete selfishness. There's no other way to describe it. Abortion is the most disgusting thing in our world today. The murder of innocent defenseless life... I can't think if anything worse.

Pretty scandalous Q. If it can be proved she seduced him, lied to him over proper birth control and purposely impregnated herself against his wishes maybe he would have a case. The war of the sexes in the human species goes on and men are in awe of and envy woman for her singular ability to create the basic of life, the egg. I do not hate men for this, it is a part of the balance.
But on a less existential note, most fellas are the seducer more than the seduced. Self control, discipline are difficult when ones hormones start going off, I can testify to this. But that we can discuss it means we can aspire to it.
