These people don't look at dogs as pets only a way to make money .
They have no empathy for the animals .

We should ALL righ now tell the NFL this is unacceptable behavior. Here's a link to do it easily. https://community.hsus.org/campaign/US_2007_dogfighting_nfl?qp_source=gaba5r

Also mentioned was contacting companies (Nike, Rawlings, Kraft, and Powerade) who use Vick to endorse their products which I think is an excellent idea.

I think they should be fined a large amount of money and should have to go to jail. They should also not be allowed to ever own an animal again. I don't think people like this should ever be able to hurt another animal. It's cruel. They should be treated as child abusers. To some people pets are children. They have feelings too.

added note: Some of these dogs are dangerous because of people like this. They train them to be this way. Ultimately the dogs who cannot be stirred back into the right direction have to be put to sleep. Pit bulls are not bad dogs. They do not fight unless they are taught too. That goes for any other large or small dog. I think these people should go to jail regaurdless of how dangerous the animal is.

I would leave a more detailed answer, however I may end up being reported on what I think should be done to these people. Therefore Im just going to say they should all be shouwn the same respect they have shown those dogs and die terrifying, horrible deaths. And then be brought back to life to relive it over and over again.

Both jail and severe fines. That's the realistic answer. What I really like to happen to them is a different story.

The fights are all about money. THOUSANDS of dollars are made by the breeders, trainers, property owners, and attendees (by gambling). You need to hit these people in the pocketbook with STEEP fines and major jail time.

Also taking away their privilege of ever owning another animal should be mandated.

I think they should go to jail and be prosecuted, possibly even go through some kind of education classes. Maybe even never allowed to own dogs again. I was really surprised today about the Michael Vick thing, and disappointed. Sad that such a public figure would be a part of something so horrible.

I think it should be eye for an eye! If there pet dies they should die the same torture death. Call me crazy but people think it's cool to fight dogs. Those people should be put in a ring with other dog fighters and let them fight it out! One bad pet owner against another! They are losers and society does not need them around. If they killed a child and have dog fighting in there past they should be put to death. Reason they harm defenseless things that are precious!

I say jail, fines, and not being allowed to have ANY animal again. I also support the 3 times and your out law, if they're caught with an animal 3 times life in prison sounds good to me.

They should have to pay a HUGE fine, serve time, be forbidden to ever own an animal of ANY kind, work @ a shelter as a volunteer, have harm done to them ... wait, that's going a bit far.
I know 1 thing for sure ... they are horrible people. There is NO excuse!!!

I think animal cruelty laws are too lenient. People who abuse animals should receive tougher sentences. They should definitely receive jail time not just a small fine. They should also be banned from owning pets ever again.

They need to go to jail, but for a whole hell of a lot longer than hey do now. It isn't fair, people that kill other people get sent to jail for years if not for life, people that fight and kill animals only get sent to jail for a maximum of 2 years. I am only 16, but if I could start a petition or something to fight against this, I would.
