Could you be thinking of Jesus remark that the path to life would be narrow and few people would find it, while the path to death would be broad and well-traveled?
Or could you be referring to Jesus' parable about the Needle's Eye? It is harder, according to Jesus, for a wealthy man to get through the gate of heaven than to get his burdened animals through the Needle's Eye...I read somewhere that there was actually a gate so narrow that it was called "The Needle's Eye".
To climb the narrow path, it seems you would have to be really focused, determined, and dedicated. To get through the gate, you would have to get rid of all your worldly concerns.
However you look at it, if you are following a crowd, you are headed in the wrong direction...

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7 13-14
The strait gate - The holiness described in the foregoing chapters. And this is the narrow way. Wide is the gate, and many there are that go in through it - They need not seek for this; they come to it of course. Many go in through it, because strait is the other gate - Therefore they do not care for it; they like a wider gate.

Matt 7
13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
read the post on R&S.
Jesus is the Only straight path and you have to choose to find it.
Reject Jesus and you can follow countless paths to distruction.

Idahomike, I thought had a great answer.
There is more than just saying you believe in Christ, or just having faith. Read James chapter 2
Not to mention we must be baptised
Matt 3:15, 28:19
Mark 16:16 The list goes on
One must be baptised by someone holding authority not by someone who went to college and thought it would be nice to start his/her own church.
"And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron" Hebrew 5:4
There are more scriptural passages that prove these things but oddly most mainstream "Christians" don't believe them.

This is what Jesus said “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15
You have to repent!
Without repentance of sin you will not be saved.
He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Proverbs 28:13
Jesus is the one who said repent and believe.
If you only believe and not repent you have a demon faith.
You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! James 2:19

It takes a bit more than just saying "I believe in Christ as the Messiah"...
The Way is narrow to Heaven... the path to hell is wider and faster than the Autobon.

That is not what the Bible says.
The Bible says: Read Matthew ch 7.

We enter one at a time - on our own acceptance of Jesus Christ...
Are you thinking of The road to destrucion is wide, but enter through the narrow gate... that gate is Jesus, I believe Jesus said that...

It does not say that in the Bible. it says it would be easier for a camel to go throuh the eye of the needle than a rich man to enter heaven.also there is only one gate.

There has to be. The belief is of course quite important, but I think also how one has lived his or her life has to factor in somehow. Did we take care of God's creation? Did we take care of our fellow human beings? Were we good to the animals? Did we treat others as we wanted to be treated?
