me and my friend are going to get our ears pierced, shes is getting above her lobe done and im wanting my cartilage done , what should i get done(above lobe or cartilage) and why?

Hmm, I gather that it's quite painful as it doesn't just go through skin, there's actual cartilage there, which is much thicker.
My friend recently got her ears pierced both her lobes and her cartilage and said the cartilage hurt slightly more but not that much more. If you want it go for it, ultimately it's your decision and if that's what you fancy then so be it!
Just make sure you take good care and clean it properly and you'll be fine =]

The cartilage takes longer to heal, because there's less blood flow than the lobes. Keep in mind that, if you get the cartilage pierced, you won't be able to sleep on that side of your head for a while. So, I would recommend you only do one side at a time. Unless you don't mind sleeping only on your back for a month or so.
BTW - I personally like the look of pierced cartilage. Especially on that little bump just outside of the ear canal.

discomfort is different from each and every physique. I even have my cartilage AND my lip pierced and to be user-friendly, my cartilage injury way better than my lip. in spite of the undeniable fact that it hurts greater after than once you truthfully get it completed yet once you rly like it choose for it!!!! no longer something you cant take im particular :)

Mine did not hurt at all. i had a couple friends get that middle lobe thing done an they said it was very painful. i would reccomend cartalidge piercing.
