I am in a long distance relationship with a girl and I care about her but these last few monthes we've only seen one another once or twice a week. In a month she had planned to visit in 2 weeks but she didn't spend the summer earning much money and I'm suspecting she'll try to back out now. I went to visit her for 2 weeks in may and it was the most wonderful time I ever had with a girl, but I feel like she's not making a commitment now, and am considering ending it if she tries to call the trip off due to lack of money. What do you think?

If this is a reason to break up with her you don't have much of a relationship in the first place.

If she doesn't have the money....be sympathetic not judgmental.

You are getting mad about something that hasn't even happened. That's really low. You are so sure that she is going to cancel the trip that you are already thinking about leaving her. That's messed up. Don't react to the things you assume will happen. That's not right to do in a relationship. And, if she does end up canceling the trip, do not sit there and say, "see, I was right." Your assumptiong being right doesn't prove anything. You shouldn't react to something that has yet to happen. If you are so worried that your girlfriend may not be able to come, then you should try to help out with money or figure out a way to meet her half way and then split the costs of things.

You are gonna dump her because she doesn't have enough money to come and see you well thats life you need to grow up mate why don't you go see her again if you enjoyed that much rather than ending thing that just you being a lazy git and takeing the easy way out you could put some money towards her ticket dumping her what an idiotic reason

I think you need to end it, you are way too selfish to be in a relationship. If she doesn't have the money, what is she supposed to do? maybe take out a loan to come and see your selfish a**? If she don't have the money, then she doesn't have the money, of course, You have no understanding of this. You think it's someting personal toward you.

Long distance relationships are hard and it is costly to travel. I couldn't have one because I could not afford the plane ticket or the drive to see the other person. If you are in love with her maybe you two could move in together where one of you lives if not you have to realize it will be hard to maintain.

If the choice is visit you or pay her rent, what would you have her do? Loose her home? If she is struggling financially and you are not, you visit her more often. What is with the "tit for tat" attitude? Be a little sympathetic. Really, you make it sound as if she can do better, you unfeeling jerk.

Ask her what is really going on. Don't break up over something that is not that serious. If she doesn't have the money she just doesn't. Help her out a little in stead of complaining.

Yes its obviously her fault she doesn't have the money to visit. I bet the ***** never even tried hooking at night!

If this long distance is not working out, then end it.

Long distant relationships can be hard to handle. It's obvious that you two need to talk, especially if you feel that way. You should let her know how you feel about her and if she doesn't feel the same way, then let her go. If she does then I think it's worth working out, but YOU have to believe it's worth working out.
