He should try but only if he genuinely loves her - not just for the sake of his pride.

He didn't deserve her for those additional months yet alone now. It's very normal for someone to think that they can deal with it only to realize later on that they can't. And noone should every forget they should only forgive. If someone realizes or doesn't think that they can get past it then the best is that they do break up, because then it's just a waste of both parties time in a relationship that isn't moving forward. He made a mistake and granted maybe just maybe he turned it around, but unfortunately he should NOT have done it in the first place and he wouldn't be in this situation. No he shouldn't try to win her back if they get back together it was meant to be if not then tough luck, but either way it should be initiated by her and not him. She was not in the wrong in any way, and if anything if they do stay seperate then he should take this as a learning experience that one night of bliss really does not make up for a having a great woman at home!! Good Luck!

I think he should move on. He obvioulsy hurt her alot and as much as he tried to win her back it won't work. Cheating is serious and if he cheated twice what's to say he won't again? I think he needs to grow up and decide what he wants if he wants a commited relationship or just flings. They both need time away to heal and find love elsewhere!

I mean, if he loves her then yes he should try to win her back. He needs to prove himself to be a changed man. But unfortunately if her trust for him is completely anihilated then there is nothing he can do. My boyfriend betrayed my trust way too many times. We got back together after 2 months of separation and I just came to realize that we lost a big part of our relationship. Without the trust ther I couldn't allow myself to be with him the way we were before and I had to let him go. He was trying to convince me he was a changed man, of course after I let him go I had come to realize that he was still trying to bullsh*t me all over again but was just scared to not have me in his life anymore. If you know that your friend is sincere, then maybe you ought to give it a shot. Talk to his girl, tell her how much your friend cares about her, and if you're sure he wouldnt screw her over again - vouch for him. Tell her that you wouldn't ever want to see her get hurt again but you know how much your friend loves her and how he really wants this last chance to prove to her that things can be different. If she says she just can't do it, then respect her decision. She needs to love herself at the same time and isn't willing to take another risk with this man. Good Luck.

Tell your friend that you suggest moving on. She wanted to end it again, which means it's finished. As much as it hurts, I'm sure he'll find another girl.
