can anyone out there PLEASE help me with a contact number or address for the british embassy/consulate here in britain. i can only find foreign embassy addresses,i need to contact our own here in uk for enquiries regarding a visa application for someone outwith this country who is coming to stay here.

Their is no British Embassy in the Uk you need to contact the Home office and they will say.A visa granted to a foreign national must be applied for in the country in which they live.Most if not all of our Embassies now are able to deal with an application online.It is even possible to get a visa online providing they dont require you for personal interview first.The online application is a simple matter to complete and must be done so in English.payment for a visa must be paid in the local currency.To satisfy your enquiery type in the search bar british embassy in the country relevant.Can finally tell you it can be a long and daunting road.Best of luck.

Britain does not have an embassy in Britain nor do any other countries in their own. Contact the passport office
