I'm just curious. (I ask questions like this for nothing more than a better understanding of where you're coming from.) If there is limbo how do you end up there? Suicide?

...and does being in limbo make you a ghost or spirit or something?

I am a Non-Denominational Christian. My faith is based solely on research from the bible, minus man-made doctrine which is fallacy. I just answered a question similar to this a few hours ago.

According to my beliefs, when you die, you fall asleep until Christ returns. After he returns, those that believe in their heart and confess Romans 10:9&10 will go to Heaven. Those that don't will be judged by GOD. At that point you will either end up in Paradise (Proof of existance of paradise reference...Luke 23:43 & Rev 2:7, KJV), or will end up in Hell. GOD has the final say.

No Limbo...

No where in the bible does it mention limbo...anywhere. It's a concept develop by humanity (i.e. religious doctrine).

Heaven, Paradise, and Hell...that's it. nothing more.

Thanks and GOD Bless.

There is only Heaven and Hell. The only limbo is the one you play at Hawaiian Parties....lol. Seriously, there are only the two, one being with Almighty God and the other being seperated from God altogether. No purgatory or any other supernatual waiting room.

There must be several heavens and a couple of hells.

2 Corinthians 12
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

A temporary hell and a permanent one....
Psalm 16
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell;

Revelations 20
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

After they are resurrected and judged, they will receive the degree of glory of which they are worthy. Those who choose not to repent but who are not sons of perdition will remain in spirit prison until the end of the Millennium, when they will be freed from hell and punishment and be resurrected to a lower glory.

...and a permanent hell....
Revelations 20
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Second, the word hell is used to refer to outer darkness, which is the dwelling place of the devil, his angels, and the sons of perdition. Sons of perdition are those who receive “no forgiveness in this world nor in the world to come—having denied the Holy Spirit after having received it, and having denied the Only Begotten Son of the Father, having crucified him unto themselves and put him to an open shame” Such individuals will not inherit a place in any kingdom of glory; for them the conditions of hell remain

Limbo and Purgatory as Catholicism defines them are inventions by Catholic leaders. They're not scriptural.

There is no proof for heaven or hell, however Limbo is played at parties all over the world and is the only one of the three that is rooted in tangible reality.

I think that for suicide people are supposed to go to hell. Different religions believe different things. I suppose that if there was a limbo (not saying there is or isn't) you'd go there because you are not exalted and yet not damned.

EDIT: Note that this answer isn't saying I'm Christian or not. Don't assume anything.

There is limbo. I think they do it mostly in the Caribbean islands. I know it involves a stick and being limber.

There is a thing called Purgatory -A place or condition of temporal punishment for those who, departing this life in God's grace, are, not entirely free from venial faults.-
I think that is a Catholic thing though.

we all end up in Limbo when we die, because we are waiting for the second coming. that's when it is determined whether we go to heaven or hell. IMO

There is only The Afterlife, there is an Underworld for the dammed but The Underworld is part of The Afterlife. If one commits suicide they will go to The Afterlife.
