I am asking respectfully. People should know the crusades were a response to the first Jihads and the violent spread of Islam at the time.

Is it just convenient for them to do so?

The Crusades where the Christians trying to take the Holy Lands back from the Jihads.
But to answer your question its to point out that Christianity isn't all roses and tea. You can also use the Witch Burnings, The Inquisition, the intentional killing of Indians for their land, The abortion bombings...seriously the list can go on and on. Every religion has a dark side.

Crusader mentality.

That no other religions should exist in Christian nations.

Acutally the "Crusade Mentality" started in Spain when Islam sparked the Renaissance which caused the Church to lose power.

I see that you do not really understand what the crusades were about. You also don't seem to understand who is blaming what for religious tensions today.
