Christians promote Jesus yet in America they support killing other who do not conform to Christianity or shun them away?
Muslims promote peace but idiots like Al Qeada kill others [including Muslims] to get their message across?
Jews: Right after they were massacred they still are unfriendly and oppress Palestinians and do exactly what the Germans did or have done [excluding burning them]?
Why is it that Abrahamic relgions are NEVER peaceful and Dharmic religions are more so?
What the HELL is wrong with people - there have been "Jesus Soldiers" and "Jihadists" and "Moses Mongerers" when the basic principle is that they all should "get along with their neighbours"....?
People are really thick...
Christians Peoples
Muslim Peoples
Jew Peoples
= HATRED
Why?
I especially hate Christians like in Borat...tehe...
I hope I offend you all...
And comments are welcome PEACEFUL OR NOT.

"Christians are pretty crazy, but I don't think they kill people who don't conform. "
What about the bomb plot that paramillitary organistations take out in America - they thought the messiah was coming and plotted to "take over" America - the FBI stopped them.
And guess what the man who blew up that building in Oaklahoma belonged to that group but left - he was in the army...
Food for thought...

You KNOW the truth - look at the church they used to change their holy book so much that it eventaully contradicted itself. When everyone turned to science the church blamed that.
Simple truth.

Interesting.
None of the people I know are like that, though, so I suppose you're overgeneralising a bit.
(is there such a word as "overgeneralise"?)
For example, I've never killed anyone, and I'm not sure I ever will; well, you can never tell, of course, but i've never actually got angry wit anyone about religion, so if i ever kill someone, i suppose there's as much chance i kill them for any other reason, isn't there?
I think your problem comes from the fact you're mixing up people and religions. Faith and religion.
The right question(s) to ask would be:
Are all those people you're mentionning REALLY christian / muslim / jewish?
And are "non religious people" better in any way?
Or could it possibly be some kind of a human thing, not religious? (Though, I agree, claimed to BE religious).
Food for YOUR thoughts as well, mate!
You don't mind me calling you mate, do you?
I 'd hate to offend you,
you're my neighbour, after all, so I'll have to love you anyway!
Have a very nice evening and God bless you, even if you don't believe in Him.

Whaaaat?! Sir, you offend me. I am a Christian Jewish Muslim, and I assure you, Satan WILL hear of this! Good day, sir!
Nah, in all seriousness, I'm agnostic, and while I agree that religion, as it is spawned from and perpetuated by ignorance, carries the problems caused by said ignorance, and that solid reasoning is a more reliable structure than any religion ever could be, what every point you've made demonstrates is not that those religions are bad, but that some people are. Religion isn't necessarily damaging their personality, their personality is damaging their perception of their religion. You're going to have liars, murderers, and hypocrites, in any group comprised of as many people as those religions are.
Added: Mocha-fava...are you serious?! How can you be so dense? Yes, very good, most blatantly immoral people don't give a sh|t about God. Their immorality and recklessness causes their demise. That doesn't mean that they were immoral and reckless because they didn't believe in God, nor that all disbelievers are immoral and reckless. God didn't strike them down, their arrogance, their belief that they were invincible, did. I'd love to hear how you account for the millions of people who doubt and/or deny God, and continue to live normal, healthy lives. Or forget that, consider that everyone eventually dies, and that if you believe in something, and are vocal enough about it, odds are you say it rather frequently, and will say it a few times within weeks/days of your death. If a preacher dies in a car crash, was it because he preached about God? I can use the same logic you used, to claim that belief in God will kill you. (Hey, it's already killed off your brain!)

It's all in the scriptures. I've seen a few hateful passages in the Bible. I'll highlight a couple that p***ed me off when I was told to look at them.
Corinthians 6:14-18
Colossians 3:6
Thessalonians 2:12
And this is from a religion that supposedly loves all of mankind?

I sort of agree with you but there is also the fact that these religions point to a fundamental truth about the universe, sometimes distorted and sometimes less so. The question of what man is and his place in the universe is a fundamental one and it is one that you are also asking as well.
It is not true that none of these religions are ever peaceful either. Some of the great Talmudic Rabbis had a remarkeable attitude to their fellow human being, and you could also look at some of the Christian Saints like St Francis of Assissi. Also there are many remarkeable and sometimes little known people from the World of Islam who promoted peace, fellowship, tolerance and understanding .

My own theory is that it is essentially a family feud. According to the Bible, the Jews are the "privileged child" since they were designated to get the greatest prize of all, the people of the Savior. The Arabs were the disowned children, the outcast 1/2 brother Ishmael. Islam sprang from them and is violently fighting for a birthright NEVER promised to them. The Christians are essentially adopted children. Ours seems the most tenuous part of the relationship as the 'privileged' son (the Jews) rejected us and some Christians are still angry at that. Some of us fight the Muslims over the birthright neither of us was promised. Some of us team up against the Jews. Some of us understand that we are only step-children and accept that role and help defend the Jews who are trying to protect their birthright. It's kind of a soap opera on a grand scale and because of the nature of Dharmic religions this scenario is unlikely within them so they tend not to have as much antipathy to one another.

Funny?well, i think its more ironic...but, you obviously can't blame the religions, since, like you said, they are doing exactly what they are not supposed to do..all these problems exist because of human nature and not religion...religion is just an excuse some people come up with to hide their actions, but that doesn't imply that religions are bad...you talk about dharmic religions being peaceful, but there have been many instances where hindus and sikhs etc.(esp. in india) have turned a bit violent; again not bcos of the religion..i don't think you generalising all the followers of the abrahamic religions like this is going to help..after all, these people are still just the minority, and all thee problems are political and not religious..

You're right. All three religions preach tolerance and kindness, but their followers somehow keep missing out on those points.
It's like politics: Looks good on paper, doesn't work in practice.
Of course, I want to add that there are actually quite a few people who do follow their religions properly. I have Christian, Jewish and Muslim friends (and a Muslim husband) who are all very kind and tolerant. In fact, our Orthodox Jewish friends helped us get the car seat for our Muslim babies into the car!

wakaka.... so you think the problem is in the religion????
I don't think so.... i think the problem is in the people itself.
Now in ur opinion....
(Ur first sentence) a Christian supporting murder? I don't think any religion would support that act which, in addition, is against the morals of many religions... remember ALL theistic religion want to be with their god... doing an immoral act like murder is a CLEAR separation to their will to be with their god...
(Ur second sentence) Its true that Al Queda (radicals) are Muslims, but NOT all Muslims are Al Queda (radicals)...
Lets make this clear, yes it is their belief that they will be with Allah if they die in a war also called jihad (defending their religion), but their law says that innocent people are an exepction and that the intention of the war is to DEFEND not to agress, this fact is further strengthen by the Quran - "and do not aggress; GOD dislikes the aggressors"
(Ur third sentence) Is that a proof?? I mean its like u made that up. There is no such thing that the Jews attack the Palestine. Infact if u study ur history, the Jews were considered wanderers before because they don't have any state or country (as the bible prophesised). They fought the Arab States including Egypt just to have their own land, even though they were outnumbered.
what is wrong with YOU is ur OPINIONS (which by definition are not facts). Like what ive said before, the problem are the people.... like you.

This is not funny my friend it is the bitter truth.
Abrahamic religions in their true essence are peaceful, their mere existence was to get rid of ignorance like we see today and show people tolerance, unity and brotherhood.
It seems that through this materialistic world where power greed and strength are the Gods of today this pure message has been lost.
Extremists through their own insecurities driven by lusts and desires use the banner of faith and religion to mislead the masses against each other, creating havoc confusion and terror.
result? intolerance leading to wars and bloodshed, while the plotters get away because it was never their fault in the first place it is religion of course!
So unfortunately perhaps for you, your comments do not come as a surprise nor as offence as you are only basing your views on what they want you to see. You and any other person who reflects on these matters are in actual fact acknowledging the ridiculousness of this hopeless situation.
