I've just bought a GENUINE upgrade copy of Windows Vista Home Premium. Currently, I have Windows XP Home edition. During installation it asks me for my product key, and after I enter it, it just says "Your product key cannot be validated". I refuse to purchase another one because this should work!

this is like impossible except u had illegal copy of vista or product key for other edition
however u can use this joker key YFKBB-PQJJV-G996G-VWGXY-2V3X8
after u finish windows install use your own key see if it work for activaton if not go back to your seller to give u correct key

Go back to where you bought it. Sounds like it is illegal copy but it could just be a mistake of some sort.
