Is this so called Christian really Christian or he only calls himself one. That sentiment is from that person alone. Most Christian groups have different ways of attracting potential converts.

I'm a Christian, and I agree with you. The only problem is that that quote is taken out of context. I don't know what question it was in relation to or anything. For all I know the question it was proposing to answer was "If I am an atheist and wanted to rape and murder children, would it be ok?" Well, then I would still think that answer was bizarre! LOL. But it would make a little more sense.
In any case, I don't think Christianity has anything to do with their problem. Anyone who resorts to insults and Hitler comparisons without any kind of sound argument has something wrong with them. I think you nailed it right on the head: deeper seeded psychological issues are, indeed, at play here. It certainly is no logical or rational way to try to convert anyone to anything!
That said, if that person DID end up spending eternity with me, it would be because they made a transformation from crazy ego-maniac to loving and caring soul, so I doubt it would be a problem in the afterlife. :-)
So, in answer to your original question, I greatly doubt that is the sentiment shared by a majority of Christians, but it may depend on the question being asked. Even then, we are not all the same, anymore than all atheists or anyone else are the same.

Yes, it is, but ONLY because I suspect this person is going to have to spend some time in Hell/Purgatory learning 'the right way to think and do' before he gets to Heaven. I am a Christian (I'm a Catholic ... yes, we are ALL Christians, too) and I DO NOT BELIEVE that God will 'exclude' ANY OF US from heaven ... just think some will go 'right away' after they die, while others will do time in 'Hell/Purgatory' until they 'learn' what they'll need to 'know' for when they do get to Heaven.
As for your three questions ...
There MAY be 'psychological issues' at play here, but there's not enough information to 'tell for sure.'
No, comments like this would NOT 'convert' anyone with 1/4 a 'brain.'
As for the third ... there is no 'want' ... because I truly BELIEVE we will ALL go to Heaven in the end. THEN we'll be on the 'rest of the story' of our 'lives' ...

I think the person that gave you the answer has a strange understanding of the word LOVE. God does consider you to have committed all sin if you have committed one sin however the context in which some people bring forth how a Holy God views our situation and with no mention of the fact that a simple heart felt "please forgive me Lord" and the God of heaven not only forgives them but no longer remembers it. Our slate being wiped clean.
what some born again do in the name of our God is really the reason more people find it hard to see him as the loving God he is. They focus on the negative sin issues. It is sad they cannot do the other command which is hate the sin ans LOVE the sinner.

Well, I wouldn't have answered quite the same as he did but- technically he is right. In God's eyes all sin is the same. If you have offended the law in one point you are guilty of all And- "but for the grace of God-" I would be like any one of those... (nothing except circumstance and opportunity separate you from Adolf Hitler)
Though his delivery could use a bit of softening, he is correct. I can't fault him in the validity of his statement.
Besides, you don't have to spend eternity with him, You can spend it with Christ if you like!!! He loves you, He died for you- so that in God's sight you will be without spot or scar.

It sounds like this person needs prayer. Remember everybody gets angry (even Christians). But staying angry mostly is not what Christians do. Has this person ever said good things? Are you the type who likes to show only the bad things a person does/says? If so, and if you're not one already you should seriously consider becoming a reporter. CNN would probably be a good place for you to start looking for a promising career. Good luck and God Bless Bro!!

Hm. You didn't post the question though. It may have been an attempt at imagery. "So was I" kind of puts a stumbling block on the whole "look at the crazy Christian" posting. Although, I'm sure, to tell the truth, that God doesn't look at us that way. I don't understand that reference to Adolf Hitler at all, so that's why I wondered if there was more to this story, or if you are just reacting to something that was meant to be shocking.

I don't know. I have seen many posts like this from many christians and atheists alike. It certainly bothers me more to have it come from a chistian. I don't consider myself a christian, but I am a believer and I was taught that you love everybody, and only God has a right to determine who should be considered a murdering, lying, thieving rapist. We really have no right to tell God what to think. As per your first question, yes I think there are deeper-seeded psychological issues here. This person is certainly not been taught the same form of christianity that I was taught and seems to be very uncomfortable with his faith. I believe this person to be an uneducated person who tries to cover his lack of vocabulary up with name calling. I think that little sentence "So was I" in the author's heart says "So am I" I realize that this is probably taken out of context. But then why else would he add it in there. In answer to your second question, I am glad that I don't have children to be concerned about the type of christianity they are being taught when they go to sunday school. I would not want them to be taught by this person as the person is preaching and teaching hate. I would want my children to love everybody. Every person whether Christian, believer or atheist has a wealth of knowledge to learn from and experience. I would want my child to experience as much as possible to make well informed decisions. As far as from the atheist standpoint on the question, I would think his beliefs just became more solidified.
Your third question, I believe there is a place for a person like this; it isn't heaven. but nor is it hell. I think a far worse punishment is in store for a person like this. I am not Catholic per se, but I do believe in purgatory. This person may find himself in purgatory waiting forever for his fate to be determined. Which I think would be worse than any ascension or descension.
Now that I have wasted quite a bit of space here posting something that will probably not ever be read in its entirety I will close with this thought: Aren't any of us posting answers to this question sitting in judgment? This is my way of answering. Hope it helps.

hypocrite's have no idea that they will lead the way to hell. They never have. If you look close it's easy to tell a Christian from a hypocrit. The Christian tries there best to never judge,
"lest they be judged". A Christian sins too and they know it. A Christian will do there best to forgive and be tolerant as they are taught that is the only way to get forgiveness and tolerance from God. A Christian is taught that God knows what is in there heart and they can't be forgiven for a sin if they are not truly remorseful, so none of that, just tell God your sorry crap, they know it won't work. If you see a fake judging and sinning while preaching, ignore it , it's the best way to shut one up. listening to it only feeds its ego.

This is Christianity bearing its true nature.
They will love and be nice to you while they think you are still on the fence.
When they realize they have no chance whatsoever of coercing you into their cult, they show their true colors, which is hatred and intolerance of everyone that is not a Christian.
I know I'll get thumbed down like a mofo for saying this, as they hate to hear it. But it is the fundamental truth of their cult. The only reason any of these cult members is ever kind to anyone, is because they hope that you will one day be one of them. The realization that someone is beyond their reach is absolutely infuriating to them.
It was mentioned to me recently that true atheists like myself are considered by some of them to be inhuman and possibly devils in the flesh, here for the express purpose of stealing people away from their god.
The levels of hatred and insanity that this cult produces is truly frightening.

Nope, not shared by me. Whoever wrote this to you has an improper understanding of the Grace of God.
Sorry you got this.
Of course there are deeper-seated issues at play, I can't imagine why anyone would want to spend 5 minutes with that person, let alone eternity.
