I would recommend a surge UPS combo unit. Plug any devices that connect to the TV into it as well surges and transients can come from anywhere.

I actually went as far as to put a U.P.S. on mine ($50) to protect against surges, brownouts, and momentary blackouts. A cheap insurance policy.

Get one for sure. That's expensive equipment and you want it protected. Most on the market are satifactory but talk to the sales rep about what he thinks is best for you (it's not necessarily the most expensive one as you know).

get a ups/ surge protector, spend around $70.00 anywere I have a berklin it works fine
