We are moving into our house which has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, Kitchen, and an extra room (not a bedroom). The extra room is what you enter into if you take the backdoor. I could use it for a dinning room, but it's really big and would need something extra to make it look complete. Any suggestions?

What about a combination room. You can combine a mud room for people to take off their boots and outer coats and an exercise room for a treadmill and free-weights? You could also partition part of it off into a walk-in storage closet.

I would make it an office/library. If you like to read that is. As it is I have books all over the place. Failing that, you could make it a play room if you have kids, or perhaps a crafts room? Maybe a game room or movie room? Like a big tv with a few strategically postitioned chairs? You could do almost anything with it. Including leaving it almost empty to make it an excercise room. Then you may have the room to do aerobics if you wished.

i think you should make it a sort of "second" living room, with couches and a tv in the corner maybe. you could also make it into a dining room, and since you said it is really big on the other side you can have a little place to relax and just chill on a couch. maybe a glass case with pretty collectibles, or a book shelf.

we have an extra room in our house as well and what we did with it was make it into a game room. we have a pool table with a lot of posters of classic people such as marylin, james dean, elvis presley...etc. if you dont want something as big as a pool table, you can put small arcade games like foosball or airhockey.. also, we have our computer in there so you can put that in there as well...

If you are considering a Dining room and having people over, make it a bar for entertaining people.A place all your liquor and cocktail glasses.Maybe even a stereo for nice music.
