After a certain age, most of us do have dead brain cells. They degenerate and are not readily detectable.

Yes we all have dead brain cells, a good night on the beer will kill about 50,000, but don't worry about it because if you look on the news and at some of the people in the world it's evident that one can survive by sharing a single family brain cell.

That sounds more like an insult than anything. MRI or CT scan is the only way to spot dead areas, not even cells. I would find another acupuncturist and do some research on what benefits acupuncture has scientifically proves to help.
