What was your status with the guy? I mean were you going steady or what? Probably the best thing you can do is to show him that you can play the same game. Go out with another guy or guys.

hang out with him alot and in and playfully tease him about being with her be like "when are you gonna dump ____" try not to sound to serious and more joking so that he doesn't perceive you motives as evil because A.you'll be coming on to strong and B. he might actually like her
