I need to get my TD/MMR shots for immigration. I am pregnant and hence cannot take these shots. Do I have to wait till my baby is born to file for immigration or can I file without taking these shots? How does it work?

Please do not listen to Greydoc6. This is from the CDC:
Measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine and its component vaccines should not be administered to women known to be pregnant. Because a risk to the fetus from administration of these live virus vaccines cannot be excluded for theoretical reasons, women should be counseled to avoid becoming pregnant for 28 days after vaccination with measles or mumps vaccines or MMR or other rubella-containing vaccines.

So no, you should not get it during pregnancy. As far as filing for immigration, I would contact the department necessary and explain the situation to them.

According to the Red Book (Report of the Committee of Infectious Diseases of the American Academy of Pediatrics), the guide that most pediatricians use, it is a misconception that pregnancy is a contraindication to giving most vaccines. The Td and MMR may be given in pregnancy according to my research. Another resource would be the product circular, the tightly folded up wad of fine print enclosed in every box of vaccine. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for a copy.

You would need to check with the immigration office. Maybe you can get a waiver due to being pregnant.
