and went to prision.
i maimed for life the person who raped my little girl. she was 12 at the time and i tried to kill him. i know what i did was wrong and that i had to pay a price.
that being said... these illegals comming here are committing a crime. but they and those that support them say they are doing so for the right reason.
o.k. i buy that.
but in doing so they know they are committing a crime but believe that there should be NO consequenses for them.
so my question is ...
if i broke the law for the right reason and i knew it was wrong and and had to go to prision then why shouldn't these people who continue knowingly break the law everyday they are here
"for the right reason" face any of the consequenses of their actions?

no tim ...not really a big difference.
a crime is a crime.
it dosen't matter what the crime is.
if you commit a crime you need to pay for it.

If you went through the "proper channels" to get the rapist put in jail, and he either pleaded out or got acquitted (and you are POSITIVE it's the right guy) then thank you for going after this a$shole to protect not only your child, but everyone else's as well. You should be applauded, not jailed.
I agree if the illegals are breaking the law for a good reason (which we know, most don't have good intentions) then everyone who's ever stolen bread or milk to feed their hungry kids, anyone who's beaten half to death a rapist/child molester, anyone who's avoided paying some tax that created tremendous financial burden should all be given the same just cause respect.
PS I have 4 daughters, and God help anyone who touches one of them, because the police sure aren't going to stop me.

You did what any parent would at least have considered. I am sorry that I was not on that jury. I would have fought for you acquittal or at least hung it. When I hear stories like this I wonder if people on juries know their rights. For example if the judge says, "Even if you do not agree with the law, you must find the defendant guilty if the evidence proves he committed the crime." This is total BS, jury nullification is a very powerful tool that should be used more often by Americans serving on juries. If you don't know what it is do some research, and learn as much as you can about it!
That being said, there is no excuse for illegal immigrants being here. And your situation was totally different from theirs.
Good luck in the future, and in my opinion you have done nothing wrong.

I have to say that if someone hurt my child like that, I would be in prison, too. But as you say, doing crime means doing time and these illegals aren't an exception to any law as they don't follow our laws anyway. The so-called right reason doesn't make it legal. I would like to see every illegal deported with their children as we shouldn't have to support their progeny either. There is no excuse or reason good enough to let these people destroy and desecrate our nation. We owe them nothing but I'd pay for a few tickets to send them back where they came from. I am very concerned what type of adults these children will be having been taught that they are above the law and that they can have whatever they want. If people were afraid of crack babies, just imagine what's to come from the children of the illegals.

Sorry to hear about your little girl. I concur with your actions; I would have done the same thing. You don't say if the perp went to jail for rape...if he didn't then it would have to mean he had diplomatic immunity and those types get away with mayhem all the time; but they also are here on a temporary visa. If the perp was an illegal then he needed to first be jailed for his crime and then deported. I agree that some illegal immigrants do come for the right reason and others not; unfortunately all rapists and lawbreakers are not immigrants but it seems to make it easier to be more angry when some of them behave that way. I can only imagine how frustrated you must feel and I can also imagine that if you let yourself continue in this thought process you will also become very bitter. It is sad and unfortunate that you have to be in jail and that you cannot be with your daughter. I don't know how long your sentence is but please consider letting go of the anger so that when you are released you can move on with your life and BE with your daughter as a support and ally rather than an angry avenging vigilante. Life lessons can be harsh and unless we learn to see what value lies in each we will find ourselves drowning in the mud and goop of anger and frustration. Sorry to get so preachy; I do feel for you and I also know what is - is...only so much you can do about any of it so try to do what is best for you and your daughter and put that perp and his kind out of your mind. They suck away your power and you must not allow that...right? Best of luck...

Dude, the laws really are wacked when a father goes to prison for punishing the scumsucker who raped his little girl! Child molestation should carry the death penalty.
Whoever is justifying the illegals is part of the problem, not part of the solution. There is NO RIGHT REASON for Illegals. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain. As long as they're rewarded, they will come.
I stand by my belief that if these peckerheads sneaked over to Germany or China --they'd wake up in hell, nevermind expecting those countries to speak Spanish for 'em and give 'em free housing, health care, welfare and food.
WHY don't Citizens come first? Why do illegals get the same benefits?

Absolutely they should face the consequences....People who challenge a law they deem "unjust" have the highest regard for the rule of law....! During the civil rights movement, MANY broke the laws that supported discrimination...And MANY were not only jailed, but killed, both black and white Americans....They were fully prepared to suffer the consequences and they did....But, in the end, it brought so much awareness and with it the laws were changed....YES, these people must pay the price for breaking the law, but it may bring the awareness of a law being oppressive and unjust....Great question, thanks for posting it!

When I was growing up in this country it was a decent place to live and raise a family and these types of crimes did not occur. They should have dropped Agent Orange on those 60's communists.
Unfortunately we don't have enough prisons to hold them and for most prison life here would still be better than what they left.

In your place, I can't say I wouldn't do the very same thing.
Saying that, I would also expect to fully be punished in accordance to the law. People like to put "degrees" on laws, no matter what the punishment is. They feel that illegal immigration is a "victimless crime". In actuality, it isn't. It causes hardships on schools, local/state governments, and us at the tax level, not to mention other levels such as going to the doctor. When they can't pay for the medical attention they receive, who pays for it? It doesn't magically disappear. The cost is passed on to those that do pay their bills, in the way of higher costs for treatment at a hospital or clinic, and higher insurance premiums.
A crime is a crime. You break the law - you do the punishment. If you don't want to be punished, then don't break our laws. It is rather easy. . .

The American people and the politician in Washington have a very different view of illegal aliens. I'm not sure why you felt the need to 'take the law into your own hands' - was criminal charges never filed, or what.
80% of the American people want the illegal criminals prosecuted and removed from the country - only some politicians in Washington want otherwise.

When someone commits a crime there are always consequences. In the case of the 20+ illegals, our government does not seem to care about the consequences of their CRIMES. These people are criminals and should suffer the consequences of their actions! They have no legitimate reason for their crimes.
They don't care that they are criminals. In fact at their protests, they keep screaming that they are not criminals - bull! They are criminals and it doesn't matter how many times they say they aren't. It still doesn't change the facts!
