My fiance and I are having a very small "budget" honeymoon this weekend after our wedding. We're staying at a hotel in San Jose, and I called to ask them about all the extras they could add to their room, but it pretty much stops at a bottle of champagne. Are there any companies who could come in and decorate our room for us? Or deliver something to us? Or something like that? I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for, but I do want our night at the hotel to be more special than just a bottle of champagne.

Just to clarify, I'm not necessarily looking for an interior decorator - that's just one possibility.

Companies that deliver things could work too. I'm just trying to find ideas, and companies that can cater to those ideas. I have a budget of about $100 for this part, so cost should be too much of an issue.

I've never heard of a company who will come and decorate your hotel room and if they do exist, you'd probably pay a lot just for a few candles and some strawberries. Why don't you pack some votives, box of chocolates or your favorite treats in another bag so your hubby doesn't see it. Tell him you forgot something in the car or in the lobby or something or just wait until he leaves the room for a few minutes and decorate it yourself. If you get a room with a jacuzzi, have the hotel fill it up and then you can throw some rose petals in and surround it with candles and the bottle of champagne in an ice bucket. You could get yourselves some monogrammed robes, some lingerie and lay that on the bed. Do things you know he'll love but will also be surprised to walk in and see. Use your imaginiation...it's your honeymoon! :) Have fun and congrats!

Yes, there are people who do things like this, it may be more of an event planner then an interior decorator. Check with event planners in the area, look on www.allweddingplanning.com or www.gatheringguide.com for people in your area. You can also have baskets of goodies delivered to the hotel and the hotel should be able to get it delivered to your hotel room. If they have a concierge service, they may be able to help more, even if you have to have the goodies or decorations delivered to the hotel for them to work with. You could also have one of your friends or family members go to the hotel ahead of time and decorate or deliver something to it, so it is there and set up when you arrive. Pick a responsible, romantic person that you can trust with this job. Call the hotel ahead of time and let them know that this person will be coming in to set up the room before you arrive. Best wishes!

Most hotels will be glad to have something delivered to your room, even if it comes with a small fee. I know this because I have held events in SF, and had gifts delivered to the guests' rooms while we were all out having dinner. You just need to find the item(s) you want in the room, and have these delivered to the hotel in advance...then arrange with the hotel that it should be delivered to your room prior to check-in. Below is a link to a company in SJ that will deliver gift baskets...you might find something here that works for you.

Also, Safeway makes deliveries...you might be able to arrange for them to come with some shrimp cocktail or a bread & cheese tray.

Decorating the room would be a whole different story. Most hotels won't be happy about holes or tape on the walls. More than likely, they wouldn't allow streamers or anything like that. You might be able to find a florist who would deliver balloons or something that could be in the room, but that's probably about the most they'll be able to do.

Congratulations and best wishes. May the love and romance live forever in your hearts. I doubt if you can get an interior decorator. But then you never know unless you do some research. I do know how ever, flowers can be delivered.

would I ask you why you may ask them to be bumped off out of your room? Are you that intimidated via the Bible? quite of being intimidated why do no longer you incredibly take some moments and ask God to tutor you Himself, via His be conscious. there's a narrative it is actual- a married woman had an affair, and have been given pregnant- she felt so ashamed to tell her husband, that she went to a motel for the purpose of killing herself and her infant, because of the fact she ought to no longer tell her husband. She opened a Bible that became into interior the room, and found out what she had accomplished became into incorrect yet there became into forgiveness in Christ- she no longer in user-friendly terms did no longer kill herself and her unborn infant, she referred to as her husband, confessed and repented and he forgave her. that's what the reality of the Bible can do, in case you opt for to no longer have faith it is wonderful, in basic terms flow away the e book interior the drawer, and don't discover the best ingredient you will ever discover on your existence- Jesus Christ and eternal existence.
