have to choose a major this fall. I am stuck between going for an associates degree in computer information systems or a bachelors degree in business management. Im more interested in computer information systems but the school im at doesnt have a bachelors for it. But I wouldnt mind business if it came down to it. But what I wanna know is which should I pick based only on these factors.

Is the number of jobs in the given field expected to increase or decrease?

can I still get a high paying job in computer information systems with just an associates degree or would getting the bachelors in business administration help me earn more?

. And im talking about entry level jobs, because I have to pay back my student loan 6 months after I grad. so I want to earn as much as I possibly can, regardless of which one it is. So basically financially which one would be better?

Do both. Nowadays you really need to have a bachelor's degree to do much unless you have a LOT of years of professional experience. I'm getting my Associates degree in business and then transferring to a 4 yr university for my Bachelor in Accounting. I am at a job right now that I can move up once I get my Bachelor degree but my Associates won't do much. You could get a Bachelor degree in computers too, that's what I would do if I were you since that is where you interest is. Any job at my company that is a professional entry-level job requires a 4-yr degree. Of course if you are already at a 4 yr school, skip the Associates.

A four year degree is certainly better than a 2 year associate's, but this also depends on your working experience and with different projects. I would recommend a four year degree, but definitely try getting jobs while in school to increase experience and marketability once you graduate. Besides, once you complete four years, it will be much easier to pursue a master's, which will definitely increase your pay.

You need the Bachelors. You can always take computer courses later.

Business management. You can always do Microsoft and/or Cisco certification later and it will be more relevant then.
