have to choose a major this fall. I am stuck between going for an associates degree in computer information systems or a bachelors degree in business management. Im more interested in computer information systems but the school im at doesnt have a bachelors for it. But I wouldnt mind business if it came down to it. But what I wanna know is which should I pick based only on these factors.

Is the number of jobs in the given field expected to increase or decrease?

can I still get a high paying job in computer information systems with just an associates degree or would getting the bachelors in business administration help me earn more?

. And im talking about entry level jobs, because I have to pay back my student loan 6 months after I grad. so I want to earn as much as I possibly can, regardless of which one it is. So basically financially which one would be better?

It is not even a close decision. Get the four year degree. You will earn a lot more. The current outlook, normally important, is not relevant here. With an associates degree, when jobs go down, you will be out. You will be looking to go back to school under tougher circumstances than now. Many business do not even consider an associates degree.

To be real honest, you'll have a hard time finding a good job in CIS with just an associates degree - there will be too much competition from people who have their bachelor's degree.
