I'm starting my first year of college this year, and I still have to set down a major. But heres the thing I want a really nice paying job, and I will work for it. But I don't want to be thirty when I finally reach my posistion, like a doctor is after school, med school, and residency. Thats 12 years. So what else in the field is there, that I can really excel at? Thats only like 8 years or so?

Not everyone is cut out for the job, but if you can handle stress, you want to make big $$, get nice benefits & enjoy a flexible work schedule, how about being an air controller?

I recommend finishing your prerequisites and trying to find out what you like. If you love what you do, the money will come to you. If you are not happy in your job, the money will not come to you. I have always known I want to teach, and 45 thousand a year is good to me, even though they say teacher pay sucks. thats 45 thousand for 9 months of work. NOT BAD. But, if your passion is with law, go for it. If its with child development, go for it. You have to be happy with your work - you are doing it a great deal of your life and if you are not happy you will die young.

Good luck!

i'm settled as a loan officer with a top lender, after 3 years of hopping from one job to another.. as one, you'll have online access to all training tools, software, preferred lenders, marketing materials, etc.. what i know and can do now from no experience at all has put my best foot forward, work from home in my own pace, and make a list of happy and loyal customers.. you leave them smiling which is the best thing i see after closing a deal.. consider the same career path, and it'll keep you smiling too.. email me. :-)
