I had a cousin called Esme - a very attractive woman who turned heads whenever she walked into a room. It should have an acute accent on the final letter "e" by the way. If I had a daughter I might call her Esme.

I think it's a beautiful name. Read J.D. Salinger's story "For Esmé – with Love and Squalor." Salinger is the author of the novel _Catcher in the Rye_.

Essle,
Pritty? I think you meant "Pretty" I don't think that I would want to grow up in a world with that name...Then again it is a bit different don't you think?

This sounds like what my two year old says when means to say excuse me. Try not making names up, there are plenty of beatiful, real names out there. Plus no one will know how to pronounce it or if it is female or male. Plus "pritty" come on. It's English not your own language. PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY!!!!

Yes it is. I read it in a book series once. Very old-fashioned.
