They don't speed all the time - you just notice the ones that are doing it when you are around. Unfortunately so do the general public and we all get tarred with the same brush.

Everyone speeds at some point in a car, bike, truck or whatever and anyone who says they never have is a liar, deluded or has no driving licence. You will speed on your 125 just be smart about where and when you do it - keep safe.

A matter of perception......When i get cut up by a souped up little hatchback for the third time in one day,i have nasty little thoughts about all boy/girl racers.....i dont instantly think back to the ten who were driving normally or even exceptionally well.

My Bike is a BMWR1150 GSA, basically a heavy offroad Touring bike...fitted with offroad tyres, its top speed is not more than 100 mph and that is really starting to put your life on the line with offroad tyres and a fair bit less speed in this weather we are having at the moment. Its a huge bike,so people assume you are always tanking it along.....i dont.......however i have to put up with the pathetic little specimens who try to intimidate me or obstruct me with their cars because, they got buzzed by a **** on a sportsbike or they are jealous/immature/sexually frustrated.

Swings and roundabouts really....

David D.It may be fun to go fast,as the young lad thought 3 weeks ago, racing his bike along a road just near where I live
outside Nottingham. It was fun until he lost control of his bike, and smashed into the garage door of a house and he was decapitated.Bet it wasn't fun for his parents having to identify him.....Someone once said,"A motorcyclist is an accident looking for somewhere to happen,"How true.

I don't see the point of speeding on a moped... But on a motorcycle if just feels natural to go fast, especially on a sports bike.

Some do it just for fun. Many motorcycle riders will go a little faster than traffic for safety--people in cars are notorious for not seeing people on bikes, so some motorcylce riders drive a little bit fast to keep traffic in front where he can see it--if he goes along with traffic, a guy in the next lane may forget he's there and change lanes into him!

I think people speed when they know what they are riding on is fast, If someone had a suzuki gsxr 13000, whats the point in having it if ur gonna go 40mph.
i think people should stick to the speed zone, when in the community, but when on the motorways, let it rip!!

Not all of us do that , but it is motorcars that are the real danger as most of the time they just don't see us , which is why i would rather be in front of a car than behind it .
