Really, and would you own up to it? I was still dreaming when I saw a 'haggered' old womans face right next to my face. I thought I was awake, but I couldn't move or shout out to my husband. I cant remember much more, but I felt genuinely scared because I couldnt control my movements... how'bout you guys and your experiences?

I have terrible nightmares sometimes. This sounds horrible but I had one dream, where some man, a total stranger took my two year old & was beating her to death & there was nothing I could do to help her or stop him. I woke up all screwed up the whole next day till I talked to my husband about it & he told me it was just a dream & not to think about it. I've also woke up crying in the middle of the night because I've had dreams that my husband told me he didn't love me anymore & he was leaving me.

I dont wake form nightmares (scary dreams) If I dont remeber it the next day, I know when I've had one cos I will fight it in my sleep the state of my bed and sometimes wher fiind myself after tells me I've had one.

stuff like the pillows are at random locations round the room the quilt is some wierd pile on the floor and perhaps I've ended up somewhere on the floor.

on the other hand tho If Im sleeping with someone - whatever they do in night calms me down fast, even if they dont wake - stuff like that dont happen then lol

I had a dream once where my cat's head was crushed by a hammer, and I woke up and my heart was pounding..... so dreams can be very realistic. Also, after this same cat died, I had a dream the vets office called to ask why I had abandoned him there, and when I rushed over to go pick him up (and in the dream I was frantic), they led me to a freezer and gave me his dead body. Again, very scarey and tramautic, but I do believe many dreams are stress related anyway- especially the ones you remember.

Yes I have woke up to yell across the room, or have that cold chill feeling. Dreams are windows and with children and adults can be scary!

Fear is awful but wonderful it can keep you alive as much as aware, but in dreams it usually is but a delivery system for a message your mind may be trying to convey to you!

Have a great day!

I haven't had one recently, but when i saw the film Alien, I couldn't sleep as every time I closed my eyes I kept seeing the monster. I ended up having the radio on all night to distract me from the dreams.

Yes - numerous times. The fear and upset feeling lingers - sometimes for days, and I keep feeling like something terrible is going to happen. I am seeing a Psychiatrist - for that and other reasons.
