If there was anything that you could have done differently, either in your personality or appearance, to have had things work out differently?

It could be construed that way but I think it'll help out in the next relationship. You know what you do right. It's correcting the wrong things you are never told. Don't get too hooked up on correcting your appearance. You are who you are.

There is always something that we could have done differently. But, that would have possibly put us in a place where we weren't being ourselves just to keep someone loving us. If they are gone from your life...good riddance! They don't know what they're missing.

I wouldn't. Things didn't work out so move on. There are many reasons why relationships don't work out and if we tried to analyze it everytime, we'd run out of time. Try to be the best person you can be and find someone who likes you for you.

Probably-- each person you meet is different .
The things your ex didn't like the next one may be fine with, and the things the ex really like he may not care.

Take each person on their own merits.

Yes, it would be pathetic to ask that question. You should already know the answer to that question and if your "ex" can't be with you for who you are or what you look like than that is his problem -- not yours.

not pathetic ...no. but ....you should never have to change yourself or your appearance just for the sake of keeping someone. chances are if that was the cause... you might have been able to keep him for a while...but eventually it would be something else. wait for someone who truly cares about you.

Girl don't do it. If he broke up with you it just makes you look pathetic and desperate. If you broke up with him, you're opening yourself up to an arsenal. Hope you've got a bullet proof vest.
