if one does not have a Higher Power greater than themselves, then they are God. political correctness is human attempt to play God.

I am religious, and feel that I must personally make an effort to keep my life orderly, rather than haphazardly dumping all of my personal responsibilities on God. As for political incorrectness, there may certainly be some of that (and political correctness is not necessarily a good thing in every single case), but for the largest part, my denomination's insistence upon housing the homeless, feeding the hungry, loving our neighbors and performing acts of Christian charity would satisfy even the PC crowd.

Some people think that they need to be "religious". The word has too many meanings for my satisfaction. I only look to what the Bible says, and leave 'religion' for other people who think that they need it.

Jesus never said, " Be religious and be saved".

No, he said, "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him Whoever believes in him is not condemned, "

So it's not about lighting candles, praying to saints, wearing Popes hats, observing days, etc.

It's about trusting God through Jesus Christ. Is that religious to you? Okay, then I am religious. But to me it's living a life trusting God for what He said.

even Christians worry about political correctness...we are involved in our communities and our goal is to reach the lost. if we are politically incorrect then people will turn away from us rather than lead towards Jesus Christ. i think political correctness has brought us closer to society and brought more people to Christ.

i can't see any reason other than the great commission and to save others from eternal death for myself to "need religion".
i "need" God for everything...everyday. there is still no order in my life, but i am happy with the promise of eternal life in Christ Jesus my Lord.

blessings.
