Like when you type in a website like www.gamespot.com

underneath it other sites starting with G pop up. It's really annoying, is there any way to get rid of it?

it doesn't add as many to the list, but it still pops up for some words. Any other way to do it?

If I understand you are talking about the history in IE go to the tools menu and then click on Internet Options under Browsing History click Delete on the next window under History click Delete History.
If using Mozilla Firefox click on the Tools menu then Clear Private Data uncheck anything you do not want to delete then click on the Delete Private Data Now.

Turning It OFF

If you want to turn off the feature which is Auto Complete in IE go to the tools menu and click on Internet Options then click on the Content Tab under the Auto Complete Section click on Settings clear the Web Addresses Check box click OK. The annoyance should be gone.

It's suggesting possible entries from addresses you used before. If one you want is there, you just select it and you don't have to finish typing the email address. I don't know how to shut that feature off though.
