Ask your local library if you can post a flyer on their bulletin board, as well as local grocery stores. You could also make up business cards and ask your current client to hand them out to their friends, word of mouth is a great way to advertise!

Call your Community Action Agency. We have a Child Care Resource and Referral program in our agency. They offer a 2 hour class about childcare basics and then add you to their referral list. I am a certified provider here and almost ALL my clients came to me thru CCR&R. You can post ads at your workforce center as well, alot of Workforce Centers not only allow, but encourage this. Also run an ad in your newspaper.

I placed an ad in our paper. I got a few customers that way. I also put a flyer up in the rental office at my apartment complex. Once you have a couple steady children, their parents will be refering you to everyone. My place stays busy!!

try posting at the local library . . schemes don't work cause people want some one they can trust to watch their kids . . if you have to use a scheme to get work then maybe babysitting isn't for you . .

Flyers work well. You could post them at the market and hand them out yourself as well.
