That is, when a sniper has to spend days creeping up to where he will eventually be using his rifle, how does he relieve himself (as in use the toilet) when he cannot get up or move in any normal way because it would reveal his position? Does a sniper use diapers or some other technique? Does he fast or change his diet prior to such a mission requiring days of creeping along the ground on his belly? This sort of information never seems to be mentioned in stories about military snipers. Thank you.

The days of a military sniper spending days crawling to a loaction to take someone out, are VERY few and far between. With the weapons and scopes available, you can be safely out of sit and sound and do your job.
And the style of fighting going on now, snipers are utilized mainly for overhead protection. Think of someone sitting on the rooftop down the street watching a front door.
They usually wont be sitting there for days. So urinating can be done on spot and if defacating needs to be done, there is always a corner somewhere.

Sure there is probably somewhere in the world a sniper is sitting right now waiting, but snipers are long distance now adays, they wont be sniping someone from 30 feet. Think more along the line of 1000 feet out. No one will ever hear you.

For shooting skill. It is not even close, And Olympic shooter is far above the level of a military sniper. Olympic shooters are basically putting all the rounds they fire, through the exact same hole. In terms of shooting skills, there is no comparison. Otherwise, you would see ex military snipers on the olympic teams. or you would see military snipers on the services shooting teams, which you don't. 2. It is two completely different types of shooting. So there is no comparison. 3. Its like the silly argument you see here, who would win a fight, a professional MMA fighter or someone in spec ops. You see people say spec ops all the time, which is just plain silly. If it were true, you would see ex spec ops, making huge money in the UFC.

When it comes to the special forces there is such a high sense of mission achievement and discipline that if sniper was in a position and was very limited to movement if he had no other way to relieve himself he would hold it or go right there in his pants and deal with it later.

Why do you think the pants are baggy and tucked into the boot? Can't leave any evidence of being there, take it with you.
